"I have used CORE-AID on two cases with heavily contaminated wounds. I was pleased to find a healthy, pink granulation bed with no discharge left on the wound at each bandage change. In each case I feel that I gained around two weeks of healing time over other bandage materials I routinely use. I'm very pleased with the performance of your product."

For a little more detail: The first case I used was a 3cm long heel laceration on a 4month old colt. This would have been treated for 2 weeks prior to using CORE-AID with Biozide under Telfa pads. At each bandage change prior to CORE-AID there was a moderate amount of suppurative (festering-pus) discharge present on the wound and the granulation bed would appear dark pink and uneven. The granulation tissue had begun to proliferate beyond the epithelial edges and wound closure was not proceeding at all. At the first change after CORE-AID the granulation tissue was bright pink and there was no discharge on the wound. Both CORE-AID layers applied were saturated with purulent (pus-laden) discharge. At the second bandage change the wound was 60% the original size and appeared healthy with no discharge and only about half the CORE-AID had become discolored. By the third time we dressed the horse the wound was ~20% the original size. CORE-AID was layered and changed at intervals of every 48 hours. The second case was a laceration inside the left carpus of a 7 year old mare. A significant amount of dirt was in the 8cm x 2cm irregular wound at presentation. After lavaging the wound we wrapped with CORE-AID. The next day the wound was entirely bright pink, healthy tissue with no discharge while the CORE-AID was saturated with a mixture of materials -- but none was left of the wound when the bandage came off. Each bandage change was the same. Very impressive results on this one, here CORE-AID was changed on a daily basis.
